Hi,

I wanted to deploy one demo application running for long time. When I registered AppHarbor, I was asked to fill in my credit card info. Will Pricing provides a free tier.

just double confirm: if one application (simple ASP.NET MVC) only, will I be charged, or Free?

    Hi,

We recently introduced the requirements to add a credit card for verification of users of the free service as well. We've had to take certain measures such as this to prevent abuse of the free tier and services/add-ons available on the platform.

We may refine this in the future, but for now you'll have add a credit card to use the service. As usual you'll of course only be charged if you subscribe to paid services (such as custom hostnames, certificates, extra workers or paid add-ons).

On a related note: You can always access your projected invoice/statements from the account statement page here -- when you click the current month you'll be able to see all subscribed services, and if any incur a fee you'll be able to see the prorated costs of those as you add or remove them.

Let me know if in doubt and I'll be happy to take a look!

    Best,
    Rune
