I have a .pfx file and I'm entering the correct name and passphrase in the AppHarbor Certificates screen.

When i click "Create Certificate", i get "Sorry An error occurred while processing your request."

Please help

    Hi,

I can see that there were indeed some issues uploading this certificate, but I don't have the certificate file to debug the exact error further. A few questions that might help narrow this down:

    • Are you exporting the certificate using IIS? If so, can you try exporting the certificate as described in this article (e.g. to include the private key)?
    • Who have issued this certificate?

By the way, it might be helpful to try and convert the pfx file to the pem keypair format prior to uploading it to AppHarbor. That's a less error prone process, and might reveal issues with the pfx file locally if any. Take a look at the last three steps in this article for the commands to use if you have openssl available!

    Best,
    Rune
