Slow connection to Youtube?!

I tried downloading a small mp3 from youtube to analyze it and send results back. I did a speed test on the host and the speed is like 30 MB/s give or take. When I download from youtube the speed is 80 KB/s tops. Are you limiting the speed to Youtube? Or is that Amazong limiting it?

    Hi,

    AppHarbor doesn't limit bandwidth specifically for YouTube, and I haven't heard of any limitations on the AWS end either. I think the most likely cause of the slow downloads would be YouTube throttling traffic from AWS IPs -- at least I've seen several (usually streaming) services implement that sort of limitation to prevent abuse. Have you tried reaching out to YouTube directly about this issue?
