SQL 2012 still planned?
I just searched the discussion board and found an old response from rune that there are plans to support SQL server 2012 also on the shared instance?
Is this still the case?

Hi,
We don't have current plans to update to SQL Server 2012 in the near future -- mostly because there are now other options that provide more flexibility, better availability and better performance at similar price levels as the shared database servers. In particular I'd recommend Amazon RDS where you can get a dedicated instance (in the T2 instance family) running SQL Server from around $15/month.
RDS also supports SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014 and 2016 and can easily be integrated with your AppHarbor apps as long as you configure it properly - take a look at this KB article for more information on how to do that. AWS RDS also has a free tier that you may want to take advantage of!
I hope this helps, but don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything else I can help with!
Best,
Rune
