Problem with writing into App_Data folder

Hi everyone.
In order to configure my app I need to edit a file called Data.xml inside the App_Data folder. Unfortunately the process is denied access to it. Is this by Design? or is it somehow changeable?

    Hi Philipp, we do not currently give apps filesystem access (although we are looking at how to support).
