Would you be able to add a step to the deployment pipeline which
would let us perform database upgrades?

Thanks for writing the post!
Database migrations is a problem we would love to solve, but it is hard to solve well because there is no one way to do it. It is also being debated on the feedback forum, feel free to weigh in with yout thoughts there too.
