SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio Can not connect

I have created a database for my application and can't seem to connect from SQL Server Management Studio. I enter in the information from my database page. I have attached my screenshot of what I am putting in and the error I get back. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

    If your database is running on db001, it's likely a MySQL database. Maybe you ment to create a SQL Server db?

    Yes. I am sorry about that. I need a sql server.

    This is fixed, I deleted the database and added a sql database. works now.
