Hi,

I'm also getting similar error:

git.exe push --tags "https://[email blocked]/XXXXX.git"

fatal: Authentication failed

GIT version:
git version 1.7.3.1.msysgit.0

I'm new to git, may be I'm missing something obvious here..

Hi, could I get you to make sure you are typing you password correctly?

I've figured out what was the problem, thank-you anyway.

For future reference, can I ask what the problem was?

mainly due to my lack of understanding of Git. I didn't create a clone of the repository and perhaps due to my fumblings with git bash. A patient reading of "getting started" and usage of familiar looking TortoiseGit client (subversion client) helped.

Hope to push the initial version of my app today!

OK, glad you got it working. Really looking forward to seeing the finished app!
