Hello Team,

we are having an intermittent issues with the SMTP email send from OUTLOOK365 mail server.
The exception that is thrown is as below when trying to send an email

Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Service unavailable, Client host [50.17.211.199] blocked using Spamhaus. To request removal from this list see https://www.spamhaus.org/query/ip/50.17.211.199 (AS16012612) [CO1NAM03FT012.eop-NAM03.prod.protection.outlook.

I believe the IP 50.17.211.199 should be removed from the Spamhaus listing?
Thanks,
Montu

Hello team, this is pretty urgent as the email send is necessary for the customer and is really annoyed with this error. Could some on look into it and let us know the steps?

    Hi Montu,

There's a risk that this can happen so I suspect it might be necessary to take a different approach to sending emails as this could potentially affect more AWS/AppHarbor IPs, but will see what we can do about getting that listing removed. For now I can try and move your app to a server with a different IP address for the time being. Can you perhaps let me know what application you're experiencing this issue with so I can try that out?

    Best,
    Rune

    Thanks Rune for the response.
The app has been experiencing issues recently and not the case before. the
same payload works fine if we change the browser and the request comes from
    the different ip mentioned.

we are looking at moving "Xtranet" -
    https://[email blocked]/xtranet.git

Please let me know in case you need any information. please also let us
know the IP ranges that the app is being moved as we need to give
    permissions to those ranges.

    Thanks,
    Montu

    Hi,

Ok so the application will continue to run on a server with an IP address in the ranges listed on this page -- can you confirm that you've given permissions to those ranges already?

Also worth noting that your app might end up on the same IPs in the future when we perform maintenance, but wanted to see if this can alleviate the problem for the time being while alternative solutions are being explored.

    Best,
    Rune

Thanks Rune. Yes the IP ranges for US region has been whitelisted on the
mail server. Please let us know when you have moved the app to the IP other
than the ones that are having the issue.

    Thanks,
    Montu

    Hi Monty,

Yep both workers have been moved to a couple of new servers for now -- has that helped address the issue if only temporarily?

    Best,
    Rune
