<p>I think this is just caused by the default IIS configuration
when you're making non-local requests. You likely just have to
configure your applications <code>httpErrors</code> configuration
section like so:</p>

</httpErrors></code>
</pre>
<p>Note that this has some security implications as exceptions
containing potentially sensitive information may be displayed to
users of your site.</p>
<p>The default configuration is "DetailedLocalOnly", so you receive
a "Custom" error page when you're requesting the application
remotely, which fits your description of the issue. You can read

"http://www.iis.net/configreference/system.webserver/httperrors">here</a>.</p>
<p>Let me know the application name if this doesn't help.</p>
